Chrome Chalcedony (Australia) BIG Matching Earring Slab Bead Pair 16x53mm
Australian chrome chalcedony is a chromium colored varitey of Chalcedony, which is a type of quartz. It is a rare mineral found in Western Australia, particularly in the Pilbara Region near Newman, that gets its color from trace amounts of chromium within serpentinite. The stone is distinct from chrysoprase, another green chalcedony, because chromium is responsible for the color in chrome chalcedony, whereas nickel gives chrysoprase its color.
