THULITE is a rare mineral and belongs to the Zoisite's group. Very few minerals show a delicate pastel pink to strong wine-red coloring due to manganese inclusions. It is often mottled with white calcite and occurs as veins within the stone. The mining site is only accessible by foot and is located on a picturesque plateau, which is surrounded by swampy bogs.
