K2 Jasper (often called K2 stone or Raindrop Azurite) is a unique, visually striking stone consisting of a stark white or gray granite matrix dotted with perfectly round, vibrant blue orbs of azurite. It's Not Actually Jasper: Despite its common nickname, it contains no jasper. It is a true granite (composed of quartz, feldspar, and biotite) that features spots of azurite.
Origin: It is exclusively found in the foothills of Mount Godwin Austen (known as K2), the second-highest mountain in the world, located in the Karakoram Range of northern Pakistan.
