We are offering five (5) collector's rings from the S.G.Pence Estate that have stones from the Lone Mountain mine. They were taken from the mine by hand by then owner, Menless Winfield. Here you have a case in point or how hand mining and not blasting can preserve turquoise. These exceptional natural spider web nuggets have been mounted in their natural form. After they were removed the stones were simply tumbled clean. The deep rich blue, spider web of these natural nuggets categorize them as the highest of grades. The Pence and Winfield families have been friends for over 50 years. The Pences often spent time at the mine and S.G. enjoyed helping work the mine. The Lone Mountain mine was always acknowledged as a producer of turquoise of excellence.
These rings are mounted in a straightforward unpretentious cast mounting that is very heavy. Each stone is set in either a hand cut saw tooth bezel or a smooth bezel. The shank styles vary as seen in the photos ane each ring has it's own unique silver detailing accents on the top.
Sure to be a favorite in anyone's colletion . . . these rings are from the 70's and Navajo made. The top of the rings measure approx. 3/4-7/8" X 1 1/8-1 1/4".
